She actually looked at more things than just lab vaules and explained how those lab vaues vary based on types of stress that may have been occurring at the time the labs were drawn. She heard out all of my concerns, and didn't try to make me feel bad for asking particular questions or requesting not to do certain things in terms of medication, and what we could do to avoid having to go on injections. She made a great case for putting me on insulin, and put me at ease when I raised my fears surrounding the prescription. I have had healthcare professionals in the past try to guilt me into doing what they wanted me to do, rather than taking the time to explain everything in a manner that I could fully comprehend rather than throwing a "Just do what I tell you" attitude at me.
